Returning to the Culture
The resurgence of the Adidas brand as a sportswear giant and cultural icon is only gaining steam. From the progressive direction of Jon Wexler to a roster of designers and pop icons such as Stella Mccartney, Yohji Yamamoto, Kanye West, and Pharrell Willams, Adidas has bolstered a heavy following from fashionistas and athletes alike. Reminiscent of the Run DMC Era, Adidas have come back to the seeds of the culture forward Hip-hop generation. In our latest editorial we teamed up Field Society to showcase the Y3 basketball high tops. The silhouette perfectly reflects the brand’s ability to balance sportswear with high fashion.
Field Society : Combining a love for photography and fashion
The Field Society is the brainchild of photographers Anthony Taylor and Nick Woolley. Despite the relatively fresh start for the venture, having launched in the beginning of this year, Taylor and Woolley have been working together in various outlets since early 2012. Both of the founders had been in fashion retail for multiple years before striking out to start a menswear and lifestyle brand together in 2014. Now almost two years later the pair have funneled their creative outlets under the new umbrella of Field Society.
